"We honor the Episcopal heritage of inquiry through scripture, tradition, reason and experience." (from Holy Family's Vision and Mission Statement)

Adult Education at Holy Family is designed to reach a variety of people with a broad range of interests. At its best, it challenges adults to reflect upon scripture and the experience of the church over time in light of their present day experiences knowledge. Some activities engage all these aspects at once, while others may focus more directly in one specific area.

We hold inquirer's classes 2-3 times/year as needed to introduce newcomers to Christianity, the Episcopal Church, and Holy Family in particular (and to update longtime members where "times have changed").

We hold gatherings of individuals over a meal at a restaurant or someone's home where issues of the day are discussed in light of scripture, reason, tradition and experience. We meet the first and third Tuesdays of the month at present but this is subject to change as needed.

Book studies are generally offered seasonally during the church year (i.e. Advent or Lent). Book studies may be offered one night a week over a period of weeks, or discussed in a half day after folks have had a chance to read the entire book.

A few times a year we have special guest speakers: to bring us new insights and broaden our understanding of our faith and spirituality, or the faith and spirituality of others.
