Good Friday, the day Jesus was crucified, is one of the most holy days in the church.
The Evening Service
At 7:30pm on Good Friday evening there will be a service of readings with homily, the prayers, and communion. You will be
invited to venerate the cross, if you so choose (traditionally to kneel before it, kiss it, or touch it in silence). After the communion, the Lay Eucharistic Ministers
will carry the reserve Sacrament to the garden and distribute the elements on the ground. Thus we liturgically mark the effect of Jesus’ death upon not only humanity but the whole
of creation as well. We leave in silence at the end of this service.
