Rev Amber Evans our new Vicar!

The Bishop’s Committee is delighted to announce that upon the unanimous recommendation of the Bishop’s Committee, the Rev. Amber Evans has been appointed by Bishop Austin to be the next Vicar of Holy Family. The Bishop’s Committee and Rev Amber with the help of the Diocese engaged in a mutual discernment process and we jointly believe she is the person God is calling to join us as we start our next chapter! Rev Amber most recently served as the School Chaplain and Director of Service Learning and Social Justice at the Episcopal Day School in San Mateo (the school is part of St Matthews Episcopal Church). Before that she served as Associate Priest at the Church of the Epiphany in San Carlos. She holds a Master of Divinity from Church Divinity School of the Pacific (CDSP), a BA from Washington University in Comparative Religion and a Master of Arts in Theology from the Graduate Theological Union. Recently She has felt the call to return to parish ministry utilizing her skills and experience gained at the Episcopal Day School and her previous work in parish ministry. She viewed our church information form and talked to people in the Diocese who know us and felt the call that Holy Family was a good fit for her talents and her desire to return to parish ministry. We agree!
